Amazing free jewellery exhibition here showcasing artists with international inspirations. Something for everyone, affordable prices too.
I had a wonderful time walking around the valley appreciating all of the skills on display on this work. Very tempted to buy it all!!!
The gallery upstairs is spacious and bright and would suit exhibitions of many sizes and types.
Beautiful space with wonderful textile art. We were very lucky to see the Regenerative Textiles Scotland exhibit as well as the Kaffe Fassett. Both were outstanding. It also has a great cafe. Highly recommended
Lovely exhibition of William Morris wallpaper and textile display. Also able to look down on to the weaving room and see craftspeople at work. Tea room was closed when we visited but is reopening soon. Nice gift shop. We were able to park very close too.
I went to see the knitting exhibition. It was a beautiful arrangement and no crowds , I had the rooms to myself ! The main gallery is amazing. I had so many questions for the weavers ! I don't think asking them over the balcony would be welcomed though ! I now want to be a Weaver and not a flamenco dancer.
I was fortunate enough to photograph an amazing wedding at Dovecot Studios recently and I absolutely loved it. It's such a beautiful location, nicely hidden away from the busy Edinburgh streets, but also close enough to some amazing locations. The building itself is beautiful, historic and full of loads of quirky charm. I had a great time exploring all of it's nooks and crannies. The food was awesome and the staff were really friendly. I'd definitely recommend choosing this as your wedding venue.
I attended the Dovecot Makers Market which had a wonderful array of stalls of all kinds of art and crafts to browse round.
Having a café within the studios which serves great coffee, herbal teas, lovely baking, sandwiches etc is a definite bonus when visiting here. I thoroughly recommend going for a look around even if you are not going to one of the exhibitions as it is still worth a visit.
I'm sure it's wonderful for classes, but I only visited crafts exhibitions, Kaffe Fassett one was amazing
Fab exhibitions, shop, cafe viewing gallery open from noon where you can see weaving being done
